SOS-Youth Village and SOS Vocational Training Centre

As early as 1984 a youth house with its own workshops opened and in the
following years this establishment grew to a youth village with 4 living
units for a total of 48 male youths. Youths from all 3 villages recieve an
apprenticeship in the follow jobs; carepenter, locksmith, electrician,
tailor, fitter and farmer. Apart from these courses computer science is
offered and since Autumn 2000 interested girls can complete an
apprenticeship in hairdressing.

Apart from manual apprenticeships the youths can extend their classical
education, i.e. a teaching day is spilt into 4 hours apprenticeship and 4
hours classical education in the ideal case a youth finshes his
apprenticeship with a diploma and high school qualifications.
