SOS-Children's Village
SOS Children's Village Cap Haitien the youngest of the three Haitian villages. Built between 1987-89 and was opened by the actress Thekla Carola Wied. Roughly 6 kilometres from the town with a view of the world famous Citadel La Ferrière, the village offers its 16 family houses, 160 children aged between a few months and 18 years, protection and comfort.
Even in this village the kindergarten with 89 internal, and external children
as well as a 6 year primary and secondary school currently for 240 pupils.
The Children's Village shares its 16 hectare grounds with the youth village and the training centre, which is in the neighbourhood and supplements and extends the chance of picking up interesting skills and a solid trade.
